Project Innovation: The Start Here Go Places. Competition of Creative Excellence – Deadline approaching

If your students haven’t entered the American Institute of CPAs student competition yet, don’t worry, there’s still time. Now through February 6, students are encouraged to work in teams and come up with the next big thing for the award winning website StartHereGoPlaces.com. There are scholarships and school funds at stake for the most original, creative ideas. Plus, the idea selected will become a real feature on StartHereGoPlaces.com. Clearly Pretty Awesome Competition Winner Announced

Clearly Pretty Awesome Competition Winner Announced
While C-P-A does not stand for Celebrity Paparazzi Antagonist, it does represent the winning entry for Jamie Nicholson and Caddo Mills High School in Caddo Mills, Texas. The high school student’s anti-definition of the acronym CPA beat out nearly 1000 other entries to score the top prize in the AICPA’s 
StartHereGoPlaces.com website’s first ever competition – the Clearly Pretty Awesome Competition – meant to encourage high school students to investigate accounting careers through the website designed primarily for them. Ms. Nicholson won a laptop for her creativity and her entry was chosen to kick off the Start Here, Go Places. advertising campaign. In addition, her school will be awarded a  $3,000 grant in her name for educational resources. The second-place entry, Country Pig Artist, came from Erica Haeberlin, a student atWhitefield Academy in Louisville, KY.
